Absolutely, we are fully approved! To gain approval from the Ministry of Transportation (MTO), driving schools must use an MTO-approved curriculum and employ qualified instructors who meet the MTO’s specific standards. The MTO audits us to ensure we adhere to these standards.

Both of these times are ideal for starting our course. Enrolling just before your G1 written test will enhance your readiness, while taking Driver’s Education right after obtaining your G1 is equally beneficial. We can schedule your in-car sessions to maximize the program’s benefits!

We STRONGLY recommend beginning our course either immediately before or right after you pass your G1. Avoid waiting until the last minute to start our Driver’s Education course! A rushed timeline often leads to unprepared and stressed students. Insufficient driving practice (we advise 3-5 hours of practice after each in-car session) and focusing solely on passing the test instead of learning safe, proactive driving skills can be problematic. While we will do our best to accommodate short deadlines, we CANNOT guarantee we can meet such requests.

Remember,  Dagar Driving School’s goal is to prepare students for a lifetime of safe driving, not just to pass a 15-minute test.

Our driving lessons are conducted privately. One-on-one instruction has proven to be the most effective method for in-vehicle teaching.

yes if you live in Sarnia , Corunna , Mooretown , Brights Grove , Camlachie , Wyoming , you will be picked up and dropped off at your home or school or work for each in-car lesson Without any additional or hidden charges . If you live even farther such as  Wallaceburg , Port Lambton , Courtright, Brigden  , Petrolia , Oil springs , Alvinston , Arkona , Forest , Watford , Kettle Point , you can add Long Distance Package to Your Driver’s Ed Package and we can offer Pickup and Drop-off to your home town .

If you cannot attend a scheduled in-car lesson, please contact your instructor as soon as possible. Our school requires a minimum of 24 hours notice for cancellations. If less than 24 hours notice is given, a $40 cancellation fee will be charged. Please be mindful of your appointments and ensure you have your G1 permit with you for all lessons. Without it, we will have to cancel your lesson.

In most cases, the answer is no (though there are always exceptions!). The 10 hours of in-car lessons are designed to teach you the essential skills for safe driving. However, like any new skill, mastering it requires practice. We strongly recommend that students practice with a parent or another qualified driver for 3-5 hours between each lesson to prepare for the next one. With the combination of 10 hours of formal training and adequate practice, you will be well-prepared for the G2 Road Test.

If your insurance company needs confirmation that you have completed a Beginner Driver Education Program, you will need to obtain your Driver Licence History (DLH) from Service Ontario. It is recommended to visit their office in person. There is a $12 fee for issuing the Driver Licence History. Once you successfully complete the Beginner Driver Education program, this achievement will be documented on your Driver’s Licence History. The Driver’s Licence History serves as official proof of your completion and graduation from a BDE course, widely acknowledged by the insurance industry. Graduates with a Driver’s Licence History may qualify for an insurance discount. We frequently receive inquiries about Driver Simulators, as many driving schools highlight them as a prominent feature. Consider this: does playing a video game about gambling guarantee a win in a casino? Only hands-on, in-car driver training can adequately prepare new drivers for real-life scenarios such as handling a tire blow-out, navigating hazardous weather, mastering skid control, practicing threshold braking, and many other critical situations.
